About Travel The Four Corners

Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide the intellectually curious traveler with candid and comprehensive information about travel destinations, including cultural and historical insights, notable landmarks, and attractions.

Who We Are

Travel The Four Corners launched following a trip Julia and her husband, Chris, took to the Balkan peninsula in September 2022 (Roadtripping on the Balkan Peninsula). We begin with Croatia and Slovenia, with day trips to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.

Each post combines insights about travel destinations with culture and historical context to help you get the most out of your visit.

You’ll learn some dos and don’ts, many of which we learned the hard way. In addition, there will be tips on hotels, restaurants, and attractions along the way.

We’d love to hear about your experiences, so please don’t hesitate to ask questions before your trip.

New Features Added Since Launch

In 2024, Travel The Four Corners began featuring commentary on breaking news and book reviews.

Today, you will find the following informational resources in addition to the Travelogue:

  • Spotlight on Travel (News Commentary)
  • Travel News Bulletins
  • Travel Advisories
  • Country Profiles
  • Journeys in Travel Literature.
